SEP 3 - ABA Recommends CU Tax Status Review
ABA yesterday recommended that the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform review the credit union industry's tax status -- particularly for large nontraditional credit unions that have morphed into bank-like institutions. More Newsbytes 

AUG 30 - Personal Income & Consumption Up in July
Personal income grew 0.2 percent, and personal consumption rebounded a modest 0.4 percent in July after flat or negative growth since April. The savings rate declined slightly to 5.9 percent in July, falling below 6.0 percent for the first time since April. More Perspectives
