ISM Index Up 2.0 Points to 44.8
In June, the Institute for Supply Management's Manufacturing Index rose 2.0 points to 44.8. This was the sixth consecutive improvement in the index. Still, a value under 50 denotes manufacturing sector activity contraction. However, the production component rose over 50 for the first time since last August showing output has begun to expand.
