Curriculum Overview

The ABA Graduate Commercial Lending School takes a leadership approach to examining the advanced issues that lenders face each day. From portfolio management skills to leadership strategy, you will find it all in our 6-day intensive program.

Classes include; Credit Risk Management - Tools and Techniques and Case Studies; Global Debt and Contingent Liability Analysis; Strategic Loan Pricing; CRE Risk Management and Valuation Management; Portfolio Stress Testing; Exam Management - a Discussion with Regulators; Loan Management - Proactive Risk Mitigation Workouts and Strategies; Troubled Debt Restructures; Funding Sources; Ethical Challenges.

Who Should Attend

The ABA Graduate Commercial Lending School is for lenders with 5 or more years commercial lending experience and with portfolio/staff management responsibilities.

  • Graduates of the ABA National Commercial Lending School

NOTE: Those enrolling in the ABA Commercial Lending Schools are assumed to enter the school having a familiarity with and an understanding of the following:
   *Contents of the balance sheet and the operating statement;
   *Auditor's reports;
   *
Ratio analysis;
   *Cash flow statements;
   *Working Capital; and
   *Commercial Collateral.
If you would like a refresher in any or all of these topics, consider enrolling in the Financial Statement Analysis workshop scheduled on the weekend before the school.
