Modeling is increasingly important to the AML industry, with almost every program using AML models for some purpose (surveillance, OFAC). This session will dive into the technical issues concerning AML model scenario tuning. The final rule on remittances issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau applies the rule broadly to any electronic funds transfer sent by a consumer in the United States to a recipient in a foreign country.  Our expert will  walk through the requirements including providing details on the information you need to give to consumers.  We’ll walk through the interplay between these new consumer protections and AML as well as review what elements you need to consider to control risks and minimize exposure to fraud.  Any bank that handles a foreign transfer for a consumer should attend this session.
