ABA Solution: Fraud & Security

Fraud and security are continuing issues for banks. Criminals are constantly searching for creative new ways to obtain money from banks and customers through fraud and cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This section includes resources to help prevent, identify, measure and report fraud. It also offers materials and surveys to help banks understand the deposit account fraud experiences of other banks in order to assess their own bank's risk.

OperationUSA
In light of the announcement that Anonymous will conduct a coordinated online attack against banking and government websites on May 7, we have revised our Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) webpage to include updated consumer messaging tips and recommended mitigation strategies. The OperationUSA target list is available here as well. Access the page.

If your institution has experienced, or is currently experiencing a DDoS attack, contact the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center’s (FS-ISAC) Security Operations Center (SOC) immediately at iat@fsisac.com for assistance.
