ABA TO HOLD 22nd ANNUAL AML CONFERENCE OCTOBER 17-19 IN WASHINGTON
Director of FinCEN James H. Freis to be Keynote Speaker
WASHINGTON – The American Bankers Association and the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section today announced that their 22nd annual Money Laundering Enforcement Conference is set for Oct. 17-19 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington.
Nearly 800 bankers, attorneys, law enforcement and regulatory officials will convene to hear a key note address given by Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, James H. Freis. Freis will be joined by a broad range of leading BSA/AML authorities providing attendees with guidance on managing the growing risks and intensified scrutiny that banks face in their anti-money laundering efforts.
Celebrating its 22nd year as the industry’s longest running anti-money laundering program, the conference has been designed to update senior-level BSA/AML compliance officers – as well as in-house and outside bank counsel – on all aspects of money laundering compliance, deterrence and detection.
General sessions and multiple breakout sessions will provide incisive, up-to-date solutions to the challenges banks face every day. This year’s topics include:
