BANK MARKETERS FACE NEW CHALLENGES, OPPORTUNITIES WITH REGULATORY REFORM
ABA Marketing Conference provides a new way of thinking in changing landscape
WASHINGTON — A flood of new regulations, a stagnant economy and consumer fears have bank marketers scrambling for solutions. Recently enacted rules, such as new overdraft regulations, are forcing marketers to come up with new sources of revenue and new ways to engage customers. The American Bankers Association Marketing Conference will provide strategies, tools and techniques to bank marketers on Sept. 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
Featured speakers include William Taylor, founding editor of Fast Company magazine and co-author, Mavericks at Work. Taylor will share insights on taking advantage of "hard times" by separating your business from the pack. Also, Jim Nowak, assistant vice president of risk management, United Bankers' Bank, Bloomington, Minn. provides an economic outlook, including the impact of regulatory reform and upcoming mid-term elections.
The conference will offer 28 educational sessions on topics such as:
- Revenue Replacement Strategies for Reg E Changes;
- Marketing Can Play A Critical Role in Capital Improvement;
- Forging Influential Connections with Prospects and Customers;
- ROMI…Where do I start?; and
- Is Your Social Media Ready for Regulatory Scrutiny?
With tight marketing budgets restricting conference travel, ABA provides prospective attendees with an online "Justification Toolkit," accessible at aba.com.
The marketing conference is an ideal venue for exhibitors to interact with peers, clients and prospects, enhancing potential and establishing long-term peer relationships. Conference participants can earn up to 19.25 Certified Financial Marketing Professional credits.
Conference registration is $1,090 for ABA and ABA Marketing Network members, $1,585 for non-members. For more information or to register, call 1-800-BANKERS or visit aba.com.
