                        ABA TO HOLD COMPLIANCE CONFERENCE JUNE 7-10 IN ORLANDO
                         Comptroller of the Currency John C. Dugan to be Keynote Speaker

WASHINGTON– The American Bankers Association announced that their annual Regulatory Compliance Conference is set for June 7-10 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin, in Orlando where John Dugan, comptroller of the currency will be the luncheon keynote speaker on June 8. 

John Dugan was sworn in as 29th comptroller of the currency in August of 2005.  Prior to his appointment to the OCC, Mr. Dugan was a partner at the law firm of Covington & Burling, where he chaired the firm's Financial Institutions Group and specialized in banking and financial institution regulation.  Dugan also served over at the Department of the Treasury from 1989 to 1993 and was appointed Assistant Secretary for Domestic Finance in 1992.

For 23 years, the ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference has been nationally recognized as the most comprehensive and largest conference covering regulatory bank compliance. During the four-day event, bank compliance professionals, legal counsel, auditors and regulatory officials will gather to discuss proven tactics and new strategies for managing the growing number of compliance risks. They will also explore the full breadth of compliance concerns in a program designed and delivered by leading experts.

During the conference, attendees will also have rare direct access to senior regulatory officials during a special regulator panel discussion.  In addition, experts will lead more than 40 sessions including:
