Audit Committee Briefing and Round Tables: Review recommendations on establishing the goals, processes and responsibilities of an effective audit committee. Internal control oversight, FASB changes, addressing red flags and engagement letters are just a few of the issues that will be covered.

Compensation Committee Briefing and Round Tables: Examine executive compensation challenges, the impact of new or pending legislation like Card Check and Fair Pay Acts, and best practices in pension/deferred compensation strategies.

Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee Briefing and Round Tables: Discuss issues facing the committee: succession planning and talent management, transparency, board recruitment, selection and evaluations.

RISK MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS*

These concurrent sessions examine vital areas of concern to community bank directors:

  • BSA, AML and Red Flags—prioritizing resources needed to effectively manage Bank Secrecy Act & Anti-Money Laundering challenges, data breaches, consumer and commercial schemes and scams
  • Purchasing a Bank or Branch—strategically assessing the risks and rewards of these growth opportunities
