The Get Smart About Credit program -- sponsored by the ABA Community Engagement Foundation -- is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who work with young people to raise awareness about the importance of using credit wisely.
Last October on Get Smart About Credit Day, ABA partnered with Operation HOPE’s Banking on Our Future program to teach financial education lessons alongside 25 local bankers at Overlea High School in Baltimore, Maryland. The classroom lessons
students financial skills through activities, interactive scenarios and sharing real-life experiences. ABA and HOPE were joined by a host of local banks including 1st Mariner Bank, Eastern Savings Bank, Harbor Bank of Maryland, M&T Bank, SunTrust, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo.
