Engage in Grassroots

In order to be effective, every banker needs to get involved in grassroots advocacy. Use these tools to write, call or meet with lawmakers to help build our industry's clout.

Send a Welcome Email to Your Member of Congress

Welcome them to the new legislative session and encourage their support of pro-growth policies that will pay dividends for the communities they represent.

It is recommended to send a personalized email message, adding information that is specific to your bank and your community.

 Lawmaker Relationship Form

To be as effective as possible with our grassroots advocacy, we need to establish or deepen relationships with lawmakers. In just a few minutes, please complete the Lawmaker Relationship Form to tell us about the relationship(s) you have — or are willing to build — with your federal lawmakers.

 ABA Government Relations Summit

2017 Government Relations SummitJoin us March 20-22, in Washington, D.C, as we come together to tell Congress how America's banks deliver jobs and growth to communities across the country.

 Take Your Lawmaker to Work

Take Your Lawmaker to WorkInvite elected officials from your district to get to know your bank as part of ABA's Take Your Lawmaker to Work program during the month of August. By spending a "day in the life" of a banker, lawmakers learn how banks operate, meet your customers and experience the value banks bring to their communities and the economy.
