Mission of the Association
The ABA Securities Association (ABASA) is a separately chartered trade association and non-profit affiliate of the ABA, whose mission is to develop policy and provide advocacy for banks underwriting and dealing in securities, proprietary mutual funds and derivatives. Its members are institutions with Section 20 affiliates and regional banks with extensive distribution channels for securities and mutual funds products.
To ensure that its members' interests are properly served in the areas of government relations, research, compliance, and communications, ABASA produces two publications explaining our industry's operations.
