Congratulations Bankers! Oct. 15, 7th Annual Get Smart About Credit Day
Perhaps motivational speaker and author T. Harv Eker said it best: "The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money. It's simple: To master money, you must manage money."
Bankers believe this and many are using the seventh annual Get Smart About Credit Day to educate young adults on how to manage money -- specifically credit -- successfully. Last year, when the economy slowed, and jobs and earnings began to disappear, bankers used the Get Smart About Credit program to emphasize the value in managing money. This year as consumers continue to feel the residuals of yesterday's recession, bankers are preparing young adults for the changes ahead. The rules have changed, but the game is still the same -- financial education is the key to financial success.
